Human Trafficking and Child Sex Trade - experts and leading campaigners available for interview, London, 28 November to 1 December 2009

UK Premier of 'Holly' to provide a focus for the UK legal community on combating human trafficking.

London, 26 November 2009
- The UK premiere of 'Holly', a critically acclaimed film which was created to help raise awareness of the issue of child sex trafficking and exploitation, will be taking place in London on Tuesday, 1 December.

The premiere, which will be attended by invitees from the UK legal community, will be followed by a panel discussion with the filmmaker Guy Jacobson and other leading figures in the fight against human trafficking; Christine Beddoe Director of ECPAT UK  the anti child prostitution network, Parosha Chandran the award-winning human rights barrister and Terry Tennens of the International Justice Mission, a human rights agency that secures justice for victims of slavery, sexual exploitation and other forms of violent oppression.

Josh Bottomley, managing director of legal and business information specialists LexisNexis will be chairing the panel discussion on combating human trafficking. He comments, "The exploitation of vulnerable people is exacerbated by the shocking absence of the Rule of Law in parts of the world, without which there is no justice, no progress and no social or economic development.  Central to LexisNexis' business is ensuring that law is understood and can be applied. We are supporting a wide range of initiatives promoting the rule of law globally, with a particular focus on combating human trafficking.  I am therefore delighted that we can bring Holly, and this discussion, to the UK to highlight human trafficking and how it can be halted."

Each of the panel members is available for interview in the run up to the premier of Holly between 28th November and 1st December.

Please contact Allan Edwards or Clair Whitefield to arrange a meeting or telephone interview to learn more about human trafficking across the world, and in the UK and how we can all play a role in reducing its damage.
