Rebecca Silverberg

Rebecca regularly advises private and public employers in diverse sectors in day-to-day labour relations matters, collective agreement interpretation, collective bargaining, and in both grievance and interest arbitrations. She also frequently advises clients on policy development and implementation, hiring, employment and independent contractor agreements, discipline and dismissal, including severance agreements, human rights, disability and illness management, performance management systems, privacy matters, and workplace investigations. Rebecca has been recognized in 2021 and 2022 by the Legal 500 Canada as a Rising Star.

Rebecca has appeared before the Alberta Court of King's Bench, the Provincial Court of Alberta, the Alberta Labour Relations Board, the Alberta Human Rights Commission, the Workers’ Compensation Board and boards of arbitration. She represents clients in a variety of sectors, including having acted for business, manufacturing, healthcare, municipal, not-for-profit, and social service organizations. 

Rebecca is the Treasurer of the Canadian Bar Association's Labour and Employment Section. In her spare time, Rebecca is the Vice President of Temple B'nai Tikvah Synagogue. Rebecca is also a long-time volunteer with the Calgary Stampede and is proud to have received the 2019 Community Partnership Award from the Calgary Women's Emergency Shelter.
