Felicia Epstein
Felicia Epstein is a solicitor working at the Government Legal Department with more than 17 years PQE as in-house counsel, private practice, trade union and local government experience specialising in employment and discrimination law and with experience in education and governance. She worked as a solicitor at the Disability Law Service, where she drafted its response to the Department of Work and Pensions’ consultation on the guidance for defining disability and edited the Community Legal Services guide on disability in areas of employment and education. Before moving to the UK in 2000, Felicia was Director of Development and International Spokesperson for the Association for Civil Rights in Israel. She is co-author of book Employment Law Practice: Strategies for Success and was awarded by the Lawyer Monthly Magazine Women in Law Awards in Employment & Labour Law in 2014. She sits on the Employment Law Association Legislative and Policy committee and chaired government consultations on issues including on Open Justice, Human Rights: Freedom of Expression Enquiry, flexible working, domestic violence in the workplace, sexual harassment, gender pay gap reporting, positive action. She was chair and trustee of an educational charity and is a current trustee of a policy research institute.
