Aonghus Heatley
Aonghus supports businesses operating in heavily regulated industries in relation to regulatory risk and opportunities. Aonghus has particular experience in advising national and multinational businesses on the application of UK and EU regulatory regimes to their operations and have assisted clients in the consumer goods, chemicals, food and beverage, real estate and automotive sectors.
Prior to joining Fieldfisher in March 2021, Aonghus was a Senior Associate at another leading international law firm where he was responsible for a wide range of environmental, regulatory and health and safety law matters.
In 2017-2018 Aonghus worked an in-house lawyer at Volvo Trucks (part of the Volvo Group) in Gothenburg, Sweden where he advised on a wide range of commercial and regulatory law matters. He has also interned at the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia in The Hague.
Aonghus is admitted to practice law in England, Ireland and New York.
He is a member of the UK Environmental Law Association. Aonghus completed an undergraduate degree in Law & Politics at Queen's University Belfast (with a year studying at Shenandoah University in the US), a masters degree in Public International Law at Leiden University and he obtained his LPC from Kaplan Law School.
