Katrina Anderson
Before Katrina retrained as a solicitor she worked for ten years as a client manager, advising food and drink manufacturers on advertising and brand strategy. During this time, Katrina worked with some of the biggest food and drink manufacturers and across a global portfolio of brands.
Katrina trained with CMS Cameron McKenna LLP. As part of this training she was seconded to Nestlé's in-house legal team for seven months.
Katrina is now an Associate in Osborne Clarke's London commercial team and advises on a range of commercial issues, primarily on food law, advertising, non-contentious IP and data protection.
Katrina advises international food manufacturers and brand owners on advertising and food regulation. This typically includes advice on promotions, copy clearance, labelling, defending clients against Advertising Standards Authority complaints and compliance with food and alcohol regulation. She is particularly experienced in supporting businesses through the consultation and implementation of regulatory change, such as the new rules on advertising HFSS foods to children.
In addition, Katrina advises on data protection and non-contentious intellectual property matters, such as food certification mark and trade mark licenses.
