Yapa Thepkanjana
Yapa Thepkanjana is a regulatory and compliance lawyer. She advises international clients from regulated sectors including food, alcoholic beverages, pharmaceutical products and electronics products on EU, EU Member States and Asian regulatory laws. She also has extensive experience in advising clients on policy advocacy and managing relationships with regulators and policy makers.
Yapa assisted multinational clients in navigating through complex regulatory landscape particularly in the area of sustainability and due diligence. She counselled clients on the implications of upcoming and existing EU and EU Member States legislation and offered actionable advice on how to adapt clients’ compliance measures including review of compliance policies and contracts. As a triple-qualified lawyer and having held legal and regulatory affairs positions at an international producer of wines and distilled spirits in Brussels and Hong Kong, Yapa is able to provide practical regulatory and policy advice which takes into account clients’ global operations and strategic vision. She also advises on EU public procurement rules as well as export control with particular focus on dual-use goods.
