Rania is the managing partner of the Dubai office and has over 20 years’ experience servicing clients in resolving disputes with the maritime and offshore sectors, 10 of which have been based in the Middle East region. 

She has developed a reputation for assisting clients on their most complex disputes and prides herself on her ability to identify key issues and seek an effective resolution for her clients’ matters. 

She has acted in a wide range of arbitrations conducted pursuant to the LMAA, SCMA, DIAC, LCIA, ICC, as well as the now defunct DIFC-LCIA, rules. In addition, she has litigation experience before the English High Court and the UAE Courts, including the DIFC Courts. 

Prior to the Emirates Maritime Arbitration Centre (EMAC) being amalgamated into the Dubai International Arbitration Centre in March 2022, Rania was a trustee for EMAC and is a frequent user of specialised Maritime Arbitration Centres globally.

She is also widely regarded as one of the leading lawyers in the market, which is reflected through the various accolades she has received, including most recently being the recipient of the Honourable Mention for "Law Firm Leader of the Year" at the LexisNexis Women in Law Awards 2023. In addition, she is ranked as a 'Recommended Lawyer' for the dispute resolution: arbitration and international litigation by the Legal 500 2023 guide.
