Edward Devenport

Mourant Ozannes
Edward worked in investment banking in London for three years before joining Mourant Ozannes in 1990. He became a partner in 1996. From 2008 to 2012 he served on the firm's management committee. Edward's practice straddles both private client and commercial trusts (including pensions and EBTs) and investment funds. Edward has made numerous contributions to trust and fund journals. In 2004 and 2005 he assisted with the drafting of the Trusts (Amendment No.4)(Jersey) Law 1984 clarifying the position of trusts with settlor reserved powers. More recently he has served on finance industry working parties in Jersey dealing with the introduction of Unregulated Funds, the Codes of Practice for Certified Funds and the Prospectuses Order.
