Brett Dixon
Brett Dixon is the current President of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers and has been a member of the Civil Procedure Rule Committee since January 2016.
He is also a member of the CPRC subcommittee dealing with reform of the court system and implementation of the pilot schemes for the online court system and has undertaken the redrafting the Disease and Illness Pre-action Protocol and the Pre-Action Protocol for Resolution of Package Travel Claims.
He is also a member of the HMCTS professional engagement group, and the Ministry of Justice Steering Group and Legal Sub-Group for whiplash reform and the vice-chair of the Civil Justice Council Low Value Claims Working Group.
He has recently accepted an appointment to be the case comment and digest editor for the Journal of Personal Injury Law.
He is responsible for writing and delivering the personal injury update training and employers liability training that is delivered nationally to APIL's members and runs his own training company delivering training to both claimant and defendant legal firms in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
He regularly comments in the media on matters related to personal injury reform and has given evidence to Parliament in this area as well.
