Louise McNamee (née McErlean) is a dual qualified lawyer (New York and Ireland), with over twelve years’ experience in banking, asset finance and aviation. Prior to joining Lexis Nexis, Louise had previously worked as transactional legal counsel since 2016 with Goshawk Aviation (now SMBC Aviation Capital Management Limited). At Goshawk, Louise was a legal deal team lead in the creation and implantation of many bespoke financing solutions for customers, PDP financing transactions, trading deals and lease negotiations across all regions. In 2019, Louise was part of the team who closed the inaugural ABS for Goshawk. At Goshawk, Louise also acted in a mentor capacity for participants in the Goshawk Graduate Programme.
Prior to joining Goshawk, Louise held a role as legal counsel for Abelo (formerly Elix Aviation Capital Limited), specialising in the leasing and financing of turbo-prop aircraft.
 
Louise also has broad banking and project-based experience, having previously been a consultant for First Derivatives where she worked on a variety of in-house projects, for divisions including RBS Aviation Capital and Ulster Bank.
 
At LexisNexis, Louise is responsible for the creation and maintenance of practical and insightful Irish law guidance for legal practitioners across key practice areas.
