Paula Kelly
Paula developed her expertise in data protection and e-privacy laws working at the Irish data protection authority, the Data Protection Commission, where she worked in a supervision and consultation role. A key part of Paula’s role involved consulting on legislative and regulatory measures to be adopted by the Irish national parliament which related to processing of personal data.
She further developed a wide range of experience in data protection, e-privacy, non-personal data and commercial matters at Shoosmiths LLP in London where she worked as a solicitor in the firm’s Privacy and Data team. Paula worked on advisory, contentious and transactional matters in this space.
Paula’s particular areas of interest include advising on the extra-territorial reach of data protection laws and international transfers of personal data.
