Will is General Counsel - Corporate at Rolls-Royce plc and leads a number of functional teams, including Group Legal, Security & Resilience, Compliance and Strategic Export Control.
 
Prior to joining Rolls-Royce, Will worked as an M&A lawyer in an international law firm and as UK counsel for a large European FMCG business.
 
Since joining Rolls-Royce in 2006, Will has acted on a number of complex international projects and led a number of business transformation projects. From 2017 to 2023 he was a member of the Civil Aerospace business leadership team, managing a global team of 160 specialists in contracts, legal, compliance and risk.
 
Will is currently director of Rolls-Royce SMR Ltd a joint venture company that is developing small modular nuclear reactor technology, backed by UK government and the state of Qatar.
 
Will is an active member of the UK in-house legal community regularly speaking on matters of importance to in-house lawyers and has published articles in key legal publications. He is consultant adviser for Cranfield Trust and an Advisory Board member of Derby University’s Law and Business School.
