Jessica joined the LexisNexis team in September 2024 as a Professional Support Lawyer, working in the Public Sector and In-House Advisor Practice Areas.
 
Before LexisNexis, Jessica was a government lawyer from 2015 to 2024, having completed her training contract with the Government Legal Department (GLD) including placements in planning law and private law litigation, and at the Ministry of Defence and the Home Office in advisory roles. Following her training contract, Jessica acted as a litigator in both private law claims and inquests involving the Ministry of Justice. She was then a legal advisor at the Department for the Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, focussing on animal welfare, followed by a commercial litigation role focussing on contractual, procurement and intellectual property disputes.
 
During her career, Jessica has accumulated a range of experience including acting in complex private law, public law, and commercial disputes, advising on policy development and BAU legal matters, and drafting and supporting the progress of new legislation. Jessica has also been pleased to supervise legal trainees whilst at the GLD.
