Martin Ebner
Martin Ebner is a partner at Schoenherr, where he specialises in finance, debt restructurings and re-financings, loan sales, limited-recourse (project and acquisition) finance, derivatives and structured finance. Martin, a member of the Vienna bar, graduated from the University of Salzburg (Mag.iur. 1995) and thereafter earned a post-graduate degree from Pallas Consortium (LL.M. 1997). Martin represents arrangers and lenders active in the region as well as borrowers/issuers in transactional work in Austria and CEE. He has a proven track record in respect of many different transactions in bank portfolios (true sales and synthetics), debt restructurings and limited-recourse financings, including project, acquisition and receivables-/asset-based financing. In addition, Martin is Austrian counsel to the International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA), FIA (previously Futures and Options Association (FOA)), the Section on Banks and Insurance Companies of the Austrian trade association (Wirtschaftskammer Ã?sterreich), the Bundesverband deutscher Banken e.V. and the British Bankers' Association on derivatives matters (close-out netting), and also advises numerous banks on derivatives transactions (including collateral structures) with Austrian and Central European counterparties.
