Julie has been a partner in CMS's real estate dispute resolution team since 2001, but originally joined the firm in 1989. She is an expert in real estate dispute resolution, advising major property companies, fund managers, developers and government institutions on all aspects of their property portfolio, with an emphasis on providing commercially driven solutions through advice, negotiation and various forms of dispute resolution.

Her focus areas include major redevelopment vacant possession strategies, rights of light, all aspects and issues arising from the landlord and tenant relationship, property related insolvency, contractual disputes and issues arising on the sale/purchase of freehold/long leasehold interests. Julie also has experience of mediation, expert determination, High Court and County Court claims.

She regularly features in legal directories as a leading individual and has been described as "highly measured and pragmatic"; "absolutely fantastic"; "understands the clients' needs and puts them first" and "a bright sharp lawyer, she always tries to find a suitable way forward while still protecting her clients' interests".

Julie often speaks at seminars, including the Continuing Professional Development Foundation, has appeared on Legal Network Television and The Surveyors' Channel, and has written articles for the property press, including the Estates Gazette and Property Week.
