Brett Hartley

Brett is an experienced regulatory compliance lawyer specialising in advisory work related to anti-bribery and corruption (ABC), financial and trade sanctions, AML, modern slavery and UK export control. Having previously worked as a Senior Associate at Clyde Co LLP (London), Brett is currently an Executive Director in the Legal and Compliance team at Morgan Stanley.

Brett is currently undertaking a part-time D.Phil (PhD) at the Centre for Criminology at Oxford University focused on modern slavery and supply chain transparency. He is also a member of the Business and Human Rights Sub-Committee of Australian Lawyers for Human Rights.

Brett is admitted as a solicitor in Australia (Queensland), New Zealand and England & Wales. He currently holds practising certificates in England & Wales and Queensland.
