Michael Steen Jensen

Michael Steen Jensen is Head of the Banking and Finance Group at Gorrissen Federspiel. Michael joined the firm in 1984 and became a partner in 1991. Michael was seconded to Linklaters & Paines, London from 1990-1991. Michael advises domestic and foreign banks, and financial institutions on all aspects of financial law, securities, structured products, securitisations and project financing, and regulatory matters including netting, collateral and clearing. Michael has been very active in the rescue and public take-over work of Danish banks in financial difficulty. He has represented the Danish Central Bank and the Danish Financial Stability Company, which is the Danish state owned winding-up company for financial institutions, in several major transactions involving the take-over and winding-up of Danish banks in 2008 - 2012. Michael is a member of the International Bar Association where he is an officer in the Banking Law Committee and Chair of Innovations in the Financing Transactions Subcommittee. He is a board member of the Danish Banking and Finance Association.
