Kirsten Kitt
The primary focus of Kirsten's work is international arbitration and cross-border litigation. She has particular experience of ICC arbitrations, the recognition and enforcement of judgments and awards and contempt proceedings.
Recent work includes acting in an ICC arbitration concerning one of the world's largest oil pipelines (Paris seat) and acting for the claimant in multi million dollar enforcement proceedings in the High Court, Court of Appeal, House of Lords and 10 other jurisdictions. Kirsten was part of the Simmons & Simmons team that won the 2011 Financial Times Innovative Lawyers Award (Dispute Resolution) for its work on this case. Kirsten was also part of the legal team acting for a major retail bank in the High Court, Court of Appeal and House of Lords test case against the OFT, testing the legality of unauthorised overdraft charges.
