Professor Jonathan Montgomery, BA, LLM, Hon FRCPCH
Jonathan Montgomery is a Professor of Health Care Law at University College London. He also has a successful public service career with the National Health Service and holds positions on a number of health related bodies, including, at present, Chair of the Nuffield Council on Bioethics, Chair of the Health Research Authority, Chair of the Health Research Authority and Chair of the Advisory Committee on Clinical Excellence Awards. Previous roles include Chair of Hampshire Primary Care Trust, Chair of the Human Genetics Commission, Chair of the Steering Committee for the United Kingdom Brain Banks Network, and Commissioner for Hampshire County Council's Commission of Inquiry into the Future of Adult Social Care. He has also been a member of the Organ Donation Taskforce and a member of the Committee on the Ethics of Pandemic Influenza.
Jonathan Montgomery has written extensively in his field and is a General Editor on Butterworth's Family Law Service and Consultant Editor on the Medical Professions title for the Fifth Edition of Halsbury's Laws of England.
