Ardeshir D. Patel

Ardeshir Patel is a partner and heads AMJ's award-winning capital markets and M& A practice. Patel advises financial institutions, government entities and high-net worth investors on domestic and cross-border, private and public mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and debt and equity capital market transactions. He has considerable experience in the following sectors: banking and finance, power and water, infrastructure, oil and gas, petrochemicals, and manufacturing. Patel has played a major role in many of Oman's innovative and challenging transactions over the past nine years. This has won him recognition in global legal rankings as a leading lawyer in the jurisdiction since 2011. Recently Patel advised the principal shareholders on US$65 million sale of a stake in Gulf Energy Services as part of a US$ 1.1 billion combination with a Nasdaq-listed entity, and previously advised the Prysmian Group on its US$100 million acquisition of a controlling stake in MSM listed Oman Cables Company SAOG. Patel is dual-qualified as a solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales and the High Court of Mumbai where he practiced as a partner at Maneksha & Sethna before joining AMJ in 2004.
