Gemma has a wide range of experience in a variety of contentious real estate issues, including vacant possession strategy and rights of light advice for large-scale redevelopments, rent reviews (interpretation and construction of clauses, arbitrations and expert determinations), advising on contractual and development disputes (interpretation and construction of clauses, and advising as to remedies including damages, specific performance, rectification and rescission), electronic communications code issues, tenant insolvency, breaches of leasehold covenants including repair, service charge obligations, quiet enjoyment, consent to assign/underlet, unopposed and opposed lease renewals, service of notices (to complete, rent review, break options), and restrictive covenant and easement advice.
