Jeanne Rossouw
Jeanne has worked as an employment law specialist in London since 2002, first as an employment law adviser to regional and local press, and thereafter, after completing the Qualified Lawyers Transfer Test in 2006, as a practising solicitor for five and a half years at employment firm, Synergy Employment Law Solicitors (established by the former head of Employment at Davenport Lyons).
Prior to this, Jeanne qualified into an employment and human rights practice in South Africa in 1995 and worked for four years in the law faculty at the University of the Western Cape, lecturing in labour law, and coordinating research and training programmes on behalf of the faculty’s labour law unit.
Jeanne is interested in workplace mediation, and other forms of workplace alternative dispute resolution. She was appointed a part-time commissioner by the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA), in which role she conciliated and arbitrated labour disputes in South Africa before she moved to London. She is also a CEDR-accredited commercial mediator in the UK.
Jeanne has a master’s degree in labour law, and has written for employment law publications in the UK and South Africa. She joined LexisNexis in March 2015.
