Stephan Smoktunowicz is an English qualified solicitor and a banking & finance partner at gunnercooke llp in London. He has previously worked as in-house counsel for several global financial institutions, as a professional support lawyer and as a transactional solicitor at other international law firms.
He advises on a wide range of UK and international banking and finance transactions and related matters including global loans, leveraged finance, real estate and development finance, trade and working capital finance (including receivables, inventory and supplier finance), asset finance (including lease and hire purchase finance arrangements), bridging finance, restructurings, securitisations and other general lending, security and guarantee related matters.
Stephan is also passionate about continued learning and development. He writes and delivers presentations, training sessions and workshops on a wide variety of banking and insolvency related topics to both lawyers and non-lawyers alike, drawing on his wide industry experience to balance technical understanding with an awareness of the wider commercial considerations that are important in practice.
