Yulia Solomakhina

Yulia Solomakhina is a partner based in the Moscow office of Cleary Gottlieb. Ms. Solomakhina's practice focuses on corporate and financial transactions, particularly capital markets, mergers and acquisitions and cross-border transactions involving businesses in Russia. Vedomosti, Russia's leading business newspaper, has distinguished Ms. Solomakhina as a leading lawyer in Russia in the areas of capital markets and mergers and acquisitions, the result of a survey of the leading legal practitioners in Russia conducted by "Best Lawyers." In 2011, she was recognized as a "Star Partner" in Energy and Resource law by The Lawyer's Transatlantic Elite Review. Ms. Solomakhina has also been distinguished as a leading capital markets lawyer in Russia by Chambers Global and Chambers Europe. She is a co-author of the Russia chapter of The Mergers & Acquisitions Review (Law Business Research, eighth edition, 2014). Ms. Solomakhina joined the firm as an associate in 2002 after working as a stagiaire of the firm in 2000 to 2001, and became a partner in 2011.
