Helena Viita
Helena Viita specialises in banking & finance and insolvency & restructuring. She has extensive experience in a wide variety of finance and debt capital markets work, including leveraged finance, securitisation and debt restructuring transactions, bond financing, real estate and acquisition finance, project finance and asset finance as well as refinancing. Helena also advises on financial regulation, netting and derivatives.
She is recognised as one of the leading experts in her field in Finland (e.g. by Chambers Europe and Chambers Global). She was actively involved in the working group initiated by the Confederation of Finnish Industries for the development of the Finnish bond market and one of the two persons drafting the template terms and conditions for Finnish high-yield bonds that were published at the end of 2013.
Helena joined Roschier in 2002 and became a partner in 2013. She was a visiting lawyer at Sampo Bank plc in Helsinki from 2009 to 2010 and a visiting lawyer in Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer's London office in 2007.
