Mark is Joint Managing Partner of Maples and Calder's Hong Kong office, and head of the firm's Finance practice in Asia. Mark represents major financial institutions on all aspects of banking law, specialising in asset and acquisition finance. He has worked extensively in the aircraft finance sector.

Professional Background

Mark joined Maples and Calder in the Cayman Islands in 2004 before moving to Hong Kong in 2009. He was previously a partner at White & Case and before that, a partner at Weil, Gotshal & Manges where he completed a secondment to GECAS. He has also worked for other major City firms.

Mark has been named as a leading banking lawyer in IFLR1000 and recommended for aviation by Who's Who Legal and Legal Media Group's Expert Guide. Mark has been recognised by Legal 500 Asia Pacific for having "superb business sense".
