Tom Broomfield
Tom is a barrister specializing in business crime. He is currently instructed by the FCA to prosecute three insider dealing cases and was formally instructed by the SFO in their investigation into fraudulent trading on the foreign exchange market. He advises clients on a wide range of issues arising from large scale, complex criminal and regulatory investigations brought by the FCA, SFO, CMA and CPS.
He also advises clients in relation to internal investigations, has expertise in the criminal aspects of trade mark law and has assisted with the conduct of private prosecutions.
He has gained a significant amount of experience defending in multi-handed drugs and money laundering cases that commonly involve a multi-jurisdictional element. He also defends in regulatory tribunals such as the Nursing and Midwifery Council and the Health and Care Professions Council.
