Shaukat specialises in all aspects of EU and UK competition law. He has represented clients from a range of industries before the Competition and Markets Authority, European Commission and national competition authorities on a wide range of investigations, including merger control, cartels/restrictive agreements, market investigations, abuse of dominance and EU State aid matters. Prior to joining LexisNexis, Shaukat worked in the competition groups at Allen & Overy LLP (where he trained and qualified), Addleshaw Goddard LLP, Eversheds LLP and Walker Morris LLP. He has worked in London, Brussels and Leeds. He holds postgraduate qualifications in competition law and economics from King’s College London. Shaukat has been recommended as a competition law expert in numerous legal directories, including Chambers and Legal 500.
