Moved from UK to USA for university and graduated with bachelor’s degrees in Geology and English Literature. Recruited from Law School by Warren Christopher (US Secretary of State) to work for O’Melveny & Myers in Los Angeles. Went on to work in Media & Entertainment law, founded own firm in partnership with Linda Benjamin with an office on the Sunset strip (now occupied by Soho House L.A.) representing clients in all aspects of entertainment, founded a music publishing company, and executive produced films and music albums. Worked as Head of Business Affairs at newly established Warner Bros. Intl. TV Production. Moved back to the UK in 2008 and produced a star-studded British rom-com, produced theatre in the West End for 5 years including several Olivier Award winning shows, and returned to private legal practice in the West End in 2016. Took post as Head of Rights & Contracts at the British Film Institute in 2017.
