Aishwarya has represented and advised clients on a full range of competition matters, including cartel enforcement, abuse of dominance and merger control across sectors such as cement, banking and financial services, pharmaceuticals, sports, natural gas, real estate, airlines, FMCG and private equity. Some notable matters include PAG’s investment in the wealth management business of Edelweiss, Softbank’s investment in OYO, Blackstone/Embassy’s acquisition of real estate assets by Embassy REIT, the Etihad Airways/Jet Airways transaction, the Kotak Mahindra/ING Vysya merger and the acquisition by UltraTech Cement Limited of Jaypee’s cement assets across India. On the behavioural side, she regularly represents clients before the Competition Commission of India (CCI), National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) and various other appellate courts. She has successfully represented domestic and international clients, including the Board of Control for Cricket in India, International Air Transport Association, International Spirits and Wine Association of India and Ambuja Cements Limited against allegations of anti-competitive agreements/practices and abuse of dominance.
