Jennifer Perrins
Jennifer’s practice encompasses private law children work & divorce / finance cases, with considerable specialism in cases with an international dimension. She is an experienced practitioner in the field of international child abduction, and has appeared as junior counsel in five of the leading Supreme Court authorities in this area. She is frequently instructed in cases where there are jurisdictional / international complexities, including issues concerning the EU Brussels II Revised Regulation and the 1996 Hague Convention, international enforcement, and relocation disputes.
Jennifer’s divorce / finance practice also has particular emphasis on international matters, such as jurisdiction disputes, international enforcement, and recognition of foreign divorces.
Jennifer is ranked as a leading junior in children work in the Chambers & Partners and Legal 500 Guides. She was shortlisted for ‘international family lawyer of the year’ in the 2018 Family Law Awards (LexisNexis). She is co-author of the Bloomsbury published book ‘1KBW on International Child Abduction’. She spent a 5-year term serving as a committee member of the Child Abduction Lawyers Association (‘CALA’). She is a contributor to the latest edition of Jackson’s Matrimonial Finance & Taxation, with respect to the sections on Part III MFPA (financial relief after foreign divorce) and enforcement (including international enforcement).
