Katherine Bullock
Katherine joined Field Court Tax Chambers in 2018, having previously been a senior tax partner with two Big 4 professional services firms for over 15 years, first as head of the UK Private Client Practice of PwC and then as the head of the Private Client Practice for Europe, Middle East, India and Asia at EY.
Katherine obtained her law degree from St John’s College, Cambridge, and was called to the Bar in 1989. She is a Chartered Tax Adviser, member of the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners, a Certified Financial Planner, member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment and a member of the Revenue Bar Association.
She was recognised as one of Private Client Practitioner’s ’50 Most Influential Private Client Advisers’ in 2013, 2014 and 2018 and as one of Spear’s 500 and Top 50 Tax Advisers in 2018.
Katherine advises on all areas of personal and corporate taxation, with extensive experience of private clients and their companies, trusts and other structures, both domestic and international. Katherine’s experience includes succession planning, structuring property holdings, untangling offshore and onshore structures, the restructuring and disposing of the family business, tax-efficient investment, setting up charities and residence and domicile issues.
Katherine has extensive experience of the management and balancing of risk in light of the GAAR, DOTAS, TAARs and the tax transparency agenda.
