Laura specialises in construction and engineering dispute resolution. She works closely with clients to provide operational and strategic contract advice as well as advising when disputes have become formalised through a range of dispute resolution procedures including litigation, adjudication, mediation and arbitration. She is experienced in advising on several contract forms including JCT, SBCC, NEC, FIDIC and ICE as well as bespoke drafting and PFI/PPP forms.

Laura is a Scottish Law Society accredited specialist in Construction and is the only Scottish lawyer to be ranked a “Future Leader” in Construction by Who’s Who Legal. She is the immediate past Global Chair of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrator’s (CIArb) Young Members’ Group (2020-2021). She also sits on the committee of the CIArb’s Scottish Branch. 

Laura is dual qualified in English and Scots Law. For the past 6 years, Laura has tutored construction law to postgraduate students at the University of Edinburgh.
