Laura Charkin

Laura Charkin is a partner in Goodwin's Tax Practice and a member of the Private Investment Funds Group. She specialises in fund taxation and is an integral member of the firm's market leading Private Funds team, advising on corporate taxation (including VAT) with a wide experience of structuring private equity, venture capital, debt, real estate and infrastructure funds and funds of funds. She also advises on executive incentivisation arrangements, investment structures, and the structuring of investment management platforms. Laura is a member of the EVCA International Tax & Tax Reporting Group and also the AIMA working group on FATCA. She regularly gives internal and external seminars on fund taxation and FACTA. Laura is a Chartered Tax Adviser and member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation.
