Leanne Banfield is Counsel in the Derivatives and Structured Products Group in London where she specialises in structured finance and derivatives with a particular focus on repackagings, credit-linked products and ESG/sustainable transactions. She has acted for investors and originators across multiple jurisdictions and has advised on a wide range of repackagings and structured products linked to a variety of asset classes, including loans, commodities and funds.

Recent ESG experience includes advising clients on their emissions trading documentation, establishing market leading sustainable commodity repackaging platforms and leading on bespoke structured finance carbon products, several of which have won or been shortlisted for prestigious market awards. Leanne worked on the ISDA Leaders of the Future Whitepaper “Sustainability-linked Derivatives: Where to Begin?” and is a regular speaker on ESG issues at industry conferences.

Leanne previously worked in the firm’s Dubai and Abu Dhabi offices.
