Marie is the Chief Operating Officer and Deputy Commissioner at the Office of the Future Generations Commissioner for Wales. She was the Director of Policy, Legislation and Innovation until 2021. She is part of the senior management team which helps develop and deliver the Commissioner's corporate policies, plan and priorities. Marie was responsible for overseeing work on monitoring and assessing the extent to which public bodies’ well-being objectives are being met. She also led the work on the legal application of the Act, transport and planning. She led, contributed to and coordinated the production of the first Future Generations Report published in 2020.

She is a legal consultant with more than 15 years’ experience.

She was appointed The Honorary Consul of France in Wales in March 2014 and she was reappointed to the post in 2019.

Marie has been a board member of charities, companies and public organisations since 2012.

Marie was the Founder and Managing Director of YourLegalEyes, constitutional lawyers specialising in training and consultancy around policy, legislation, amendments, parliamentary processes, Welsh law and devolution between 2012 and 2019. She helped many organisations secure amendments to Welsh Bills and delivered countless training sessions on devolution and legislative processes in Wales.

Marie was a member of the Wales Committee of the Equality and Human Rights Commission for 5 years.

She is a constitutional and legislation lawyer, a specialist in public law, the law of devolution and the Well-Being of Future Generations (Wales) Act, she was Editor and Chief Researcher to the Cardiff Law School website, Wales Legislation Online, for 13 years.
