Product description
Why should you buy The Financing of Intangible Assets: TMT Finance and Emerging Technologies
The Financing of Intangible Assets: TMT Finance and Emerging Technologies is the first to treat the fast-growing area of 'TMT Finance' as a specialism.
Financing in the TMT sectors, financing innovative businesses and financing intangible assets (including IP rights) are subjects that have never previously received specialist attention. As more and larger transactions of this type take place, and as more banks and other funders enter the market, the need has risen for a practitioner’s guide to best practice and the issues in this area.
Written from a practical perspective, this book comprises of a selection of substantially updated articles that were first published in the Butterworths Journal of International Banking and Financial Law, as well as brand new content covering international perspectives from the United States, China, Australia, New Zealand and key European countries. The book also looks ahead and explores the impact of and the issues faced by lawyers and clients of new technologies such as artificial intelligence, blockchain and smart contracts.
Edited by a leading UK practitioner of TMT Finance, this is the only definitive and specialist guide to financing intangible assets. The title covers loans, security and regulation, financial and legal innovation, and finance techniques on an industry-by-industry basis in the TMT sector.
“[I]t is a practical book which discusses mitigating risk and anticipating potential issues, including focusing on potential problems that may arise with new and emerging technology… This book is helpful as a resource for those who desire an overview of the field and those who need a relatively detailed treatment of a specific area. It is a welcome addition to the resources concerning the topic.” – as reviewed by Mike Mireles for The IP Finance blog.
