Junior Lawyer Event – What is legal industry culture really like?

How do today’s junior lawyers feel about ethics and culture in the legal industry? As a junior lawyer, what do you wish you could tell a senior lawyer if you had the chance?

'Blame culture' and unreasonable pressure in the workplace, mountains of work, impossible deadlines and the feeling of fear to admit to any mistakes made are just a few of the things many junior solicitors are experiencing.

To combat this, it’s never been more important to promote a positive culture around learning – both from successes and mistakes – in order for junior lawyers to thrive.

We are excited to support the upcoming Flex Legal junior lawyer networking event with a panel of senior lawyers, from both law firms and in-house teams.

This session addressing ethics and culture in the legal industry culture will cover:

  • Common ethical issues faced, and how you can become more informed
  • How do junior legal professionals feel about culture and ethics of the legal industry?
  • The opportunity to share your concerns amongst peers and ask senior lawyers questions

This is your chance to gain key insights from leading professionals and top tips to help you accelerate your legal career.

Aspire - Committed to helping you succeed

We know that starting out in your legal career in-house isn't like being a junior in a law firm. You haven't got a firm full of lawyers to turn to for advice or support. You're not alone. There are many others embarking on their in-house legal career, in exactly the same position.

We were approached by the in-house community to provide a space for you to connect and learn from each other - a chance to compare notes, swap stories, and sharpen your legal knowledge and commercial skills.

Aspire is a free networking and professional development group for in-house lawyers in the early stages of their legal careers. We are passionate about supporting each other to succeed by providing a forum and running regular networking events to share experiences and ideas and sharpen our legal and commercial skills.
