Lee Finch

Lee was called to the Bar in 2010 and has practised from Gough Square Chambers since 2011. In line with Chambers’ expertise, Lee specialises in consumer law, banking and finance and regulatory law.

Lee regularly advises and represents financial institutions in relation to alleged product mis-selling, banking disputes, Financial Conduct Authority requirements and various matters relating to the Consumer Credit Act 1974. Further, in his role as a consumer law barrister, Lee deals with consumer contract claims involving the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Sale of Goods Act 1979, the Supply of Goods and Services Act 1982, the Unfair Terms in Consumer Contracts Regulations 1999, the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

Lee also represents individuals and companies before a range of regulatory tribunals and has experience prosecuting and defending regulatory matters in both Magistrates’ and Crown Courts.

Before commencing work at the Bar, Lee worked at the Financial Ombudsman Service, principally dealing with insurance mis-selling complaints.
