Bob Haken
Bob is a corporate finance lawyer in the corporate and regulatory insurance team at Norton Rose Fulbright with a particular focus on discontinued insurance businesses, restructurings and regulation. He also has a growing practice in the specialist Lloyd's market.
Bob was promoted to partner in 2012 which Legal 500 has described as a 'boost to the regulatory side of the practice'. He is a frequent speaker at industry events and has co-authored a chapter on closing books of business in Research Handbook on International Insurance Law and Regulation, published by Edward Elgar.
Bob is well known for complex and high profile transactions and has previously spent 9 months on secondment to the FSA, where he was working on the implementation of the Solvency II Directive and he remains at the forefront of developments relating to the Solvency II regime. Bob has a unique ability of reducing the most complex of concepts to readily intelligible language for clients and colleagues alike.
