Rachael Davidson
Rachael is a Senior Associate (foreign qualified) in the Regulatory, Public Law & Competition team in London.
Rachael has extensive experience (contentious and non-contentious) in planning and environmental law across a range of sectors. She advises various entities undertaking due diligence for corporate and financing transactions, acquisition and disposal, and development projects, and advises on enforcement and prosecution matters. Rachael has been involved in a number of recent leading planning decisions in the High Court and Court of Appeal.
Rachael has recently advised a number of offshore wind farm operators on the Generator Commissioning Clause under the Electricity Act 1989 and obtaining an exemption from the Secretary of State to avoid a criminal offence being committed. She has also worked closely with BEIS to agree a standard form agreement which has become the industry standard for transferring DCO powers in relation to the divestment of transmission assets for UK offshore wind farms.
Rachael is qualified as a lawyer in New Zealand.
