Electric vehicle charge point leases—key issues for commercial property
Electric vehicle charge point leases—key issues for commercial property
Practice notes

This Practice Note considers electric vehicle charge point (EVCP) leases generally and more specifically the issues between a landlord and EVCP developer. It discusses the usual conditions to which an agreement for lease is subject, namely the developer securing a grid connection with a district network operator (DNO) or independent district network operator (iDNO), obtaining planning permission if required, appointment of a charge point operator (CPO) and obtaining all necessary consents. It further sets out some of the specific clauses of an electric vehicle charge point lease.
