Olivia Baxendale

Professional Support Lawyer, Bird & Bird
I am the professional support lawyer in Bird & Bird’s International Employment team in London. I play a key role in keeping colleagues and clients ahead of the curve with employment law developments and market trends. I support the team with legal training and knowhow, contribute to external and internal publications, and facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration within my team and across our global network.

Before becoming a professional support lawyer, I advised a broad range of clients from start-ups to large multinationals across sectors including retail, technology, hotels and leisure, and the public sector. I have expertise in tribunal litigation, representing clients in high profile, high value tribunal cases. I was seconded for nine months to a global tech company supporting their in-house Employment Counsel across their UK and EMEA operations. I have a special area of interest in diversity, equality and inclusion matters, and looking at employment law through a global lens.

This policy has been drafted to supplement other related policies such as those covering data protection and information security. It will need to be adapted to reflect the technical basis on which access is granted to company IT systems from personal devices.
