Rachel Brushfield is ‘The Talent Liberator’ at EnergiseLegal, founded in 1997, with over 30 years’ business experience and a portfolio career.
Content creation projects include the D+I content for LexisNexis and career content for the Law Society.
Events include ‘The diversity of diversity’ with guest Law Society Vice President Stephanie Boyce, the ‘Confidence and Empowerment’ workshop in celebration of International Women’s Day for the Law Society in 2017 and 2018, multiple events ‘Blowing your own trumpet’ for women’s networks including the Association Women Solicitors, ‘Talent Retention’ for the Law Society’s Law management section annual ‘People in practice’ conference 2019, and a conference session ‘The impact of GenY on the law firm’ for LawNet.
Rachel’s books include ‘Career management for lawyers’ and ‘Smarter legal marketing’ for the Law Society and ‘Talent management for Lawyers: A hand’s on guide’ and ‘Professional Development’ for Ark Group.
Rachel has written chapters in multi-contributor books for Globe Law and Business/IBA on ‘Women lawyers and how to improve gender balance’ and ‘How mentoring and coaching can help with life balance issues’ and various chapters for Ark publications.
Rachel writes articles for the Law Society’s ‘Managing for success’ magazine, and the award-winning Future of work hub, with topics including: ‘Equality for innovation’ and ‘Future skills for a long-term competitive advantage’.
Rachel was a judge in the marketing and communications category of the Law Society’s 2019 Excellence Awards and has supported the Law Society’s Returners course for over a decade. She co-runs her own network PWHub in Oxfordshire.
