The Warsaw Convention as amended by the Hague Protocol of 1955, the Warsaw Convention as amended by Montreal Additional Protocol No 1 of 1975 and the unamended Warsaw Convention of 1929 provide that the carrier has the right to require the consignor of cargo to make out and hand over an air waybill1, and the consignor may require the carrier to accept such a document2.
