Company restoration

In certain circumstances it may be possible for a company to be restored to the company register after it has been struck off the register and dissolved. There are many reasons for restoring a company to the register, including:

  1. to enable a claim to be brought against the company

  2. to deal with property which the company still owned when it was struck off and dissolved, which has now vested as bona vacantia, and

  3. that the company was struck off by the Registrar whilst the company was still carrying on business

A company may be restored to the register:

  1. by court order, or

  2. by the administrative restoration procedure
