Road and rail emissions

  1. Road and rail emissions—regulation —explains the climatic impact of the transport sector in the UK, and the policy framework which seeks to ensure that it contributes towards the emission reduction commitments in the Climate Change Act 2008 (CCA 2008). The focus is primarily on road, the legal framework for which is better developed than that for rail transport.
