180th practice direction update—13 February 2025

The Master of the Rolls and the Minister of State for Justice have approved the 180th Practice Direction (PD) update to the Civil Procedure Rules. The amendments come into force on 13 February 2025. The 180th PD update contains amendments to CPR PD 51ZB (Damages Claims Pilot) and CPR PD 51R (OCMC Pilot) in relation to the jurisdiction of legal advisers.

CPR changes, 179th practice direction update and pre-action protocol update—22 January 2025 and 6 April 2025

Various changes to the Civil Procedure Rules are provided for by the Civil Procedure (Amendment) Rules 2025, SI 2025/106, which come into force partly on 6 April 2025, and fully on the day section 194 of the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act 2023 comes into force.
