MHRA launches seven regulatory science centres to modernise healthcare innovation
The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) has unveiled seven new Centres of Excellence for Regulatory Science and Innovation (CERSIs) at an event in Westminster. The centres, funded in partnership with Innovate UK, the Office for Life Sciences and the Medical Research Council, will focus on modernising regulation in artificial intelligence, clinical trials and advanced therapies. The initiative aims to streamline healthcare innovation while maintaining safety standards through projects covering AI integration, in silico trials, pharmacogenomics, cell therapies and manufacturing modernisation.
